Price of Food

I don't understand why the price of healthy food has to be so exspensive. They wonder why the majority of our population is obese, well it doesn't help that people can't afford to eat healthy. It's easier for families to buy junk food especially if you have a big family. Over the past few months I have spent so much money just on food for my diet. I wish I would have kept track of how much I've spent because it would have been crazy to see how much money I have actually spent since I started.

I also agree with with you on the price of healthy food. I love fruit but I can't afford to buy it. It costs $4 for a tiny container of blueberries or blackberries. Strawberries are just as bad. Maybe America wouldn't be so fat if we all could afford the healthy food. I know many of times I have to pass up the fruit and find something else to eat because I just can't see myself spending that much when I can just go and buy cookies or something for much cheaper. You raised a very good question with your blog.

I completely agree. Where I teach now... A piece of fruit at lunch is $.65 and a bag of chips is $.50 Seriously? I mean come on! These kids aren't idiots all the time. They care about $, and we are teaching them the wrong habits at a young age with that type of deal.
